But in the era of AI slop, legibility means loss of control.
Legibility allows luxury brands to appeal to the lowest common denominator of fashion consumers. This makes a brand like Louis Vuitton a sales powerhouse. But it’s also why when Andrew Tate decides to knock off a brand and designate a style of eyewear “Top G” sunglasses, Louis is the brand that lands in his sights.
You can only trade aura for market share for so long.
The brandslop triad is how you signal luxury to the masses. They appear in AI Fruit Love Island. They appear in the new viral Dripwarts videos, playing on the HBO reboot of Harry Potter.
